One of my favourite projects we’ve worked on to date…. A great conference, with great people and an important mission: to improve lives of those with heart failure ❤️. This hybrid event really brought together all our skills and passions at Virtual Approval, with one purpose: create an intertwined, valuable experience. 6 + months of…..🎤 Speaker management 🧍♀️ Delegate management 📐 Exhibition management 🎟️ Registration 📍 Venue management 💻 Online platform design & build 🎥 Hybrid A/V (audio-visual)🎬 Production & showcalling 🖥️ Set & stage design 🌐 Virtual / hybrid experience strategy 📷 Photography & videography 📈 Analytics QUESTION: What makes a hybrid event work? ANSWER: Not one single thing, or a small group of things… but lots of components coming together in harmony. We’re not here to construct complex symphonies, just a smooth experience for online and in person attendees / speakers / exhibitors / performers / hosts so the event has a cohesive rhythm. There is a call for papers for the upcoming "Politics and Power in a Changing World" Conference, with a lot of sub-themes centering around climate change and environmental degradation. As I'm not an environmental specialist I won't be participating in the conference. However, Myanmar Studies scholars interested in the country's environmental issues should definitely submit their abstract. Since the coup, Myanmar became hotter with the day temperature reaching up to nearly 50C during summer in some areas. Lands were polluted due to rare-earth materials extraction projects and forests were being depleted due to destructive timber extraction projects. These phenomena have significant impact on millions of people in Myanmar. Academics should investigate deeply into the phenomena so that possible solutions can be found and applied before it was too late.

Hi everyone! 😊 I'm excited to present my poster, “𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐠-𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬”, or simply, “𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨 𝐖𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐌𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠?” tomorrow at the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐙𝐆 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠!I work with regulatory T cells, or Tregs, specialized immune cells known for balancing the immune system and preventing excessive responses. But did you know Tregs do more? They also help maintain homeostasis and function in metabolic tissues like muscles. 🏋️♂️Exercise is great, right? But how does it affect immune cells in your muscles? This question has been a mystery—until now. We explored:1. 🏃♀️ How does physical activity affect muscle Tregs?2. 🔬 What molecular mechanisms are involved?3. 🛠️ Can tweaking Tregs improve muscle regeneration after injury?4. 🏥 What’s the clinical relevance?Join me at 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 #𝟏𝟔 to uncover the fascinating crosstalk between muscles and Tregs. Let's dive deep into these groundbreaking insights together! See you there! 🤓 For more details, visit https://lnkd.in/dCPDNCW5

Taking discoveries down the deployment track requires an unbreakable human chain linking all of the skills necessary for the journey. The strength of that chain is not however is not just in the diversity of skills it is in how they are integrated through a collegial and collaborative approach that engenders trust in each other. Translation through connectivity !I will share some thoughts on how this might be achieved in the modern era of research.
